SEIS follows the principles of post-industrial education defined by the Education Reimagined initiative (US) whereas the learner-centred paradigm aids in learning functions and acts as a pair of lenses that offer a new way of looking at, thinking of, talking about and treating education. It constitutes a shift of perspective that places every learner at the center, structures the system to build appropriate support around the learner and acknowledges the need to adapt and alter to meet the needs of each child. Learners are seen and known as wondrous, curious individuals with vast capabilities and limitless potential.
